Question Help Please - Parking Near Echo Arena??

    Hi all,

I am hoping that some of you friendly people can help.

I am going to a gig at the Liverpool Echo Arena but I have never been there before and I am not very familiar with the area.

I need to know where is the best place to park as I will be driving to Liverpool and I am quite nervous of driving to somewhere I don't know. I know that there is a multi-storey at the arena but I don't like to use them - not a very confident driver in multi-stories either - and I guess it would take ages to get out.

Are there any other car parks near-by that will be available? I don't mind having to walk to the arena from a car park.

    Many thanks.

Hello Rowdyangel. There are two carparks near the Echo arena. One is in Liver Street and the other is on Strand Street. Both are a 10 minute walk from the arena.

Try the following website links and they should help you. John Lewis carpark and the Strand Street carpark.

    Good luck.

Hi, thanks for that but these also look like multi-story carparks.

Looking on Multimap, there seems to be some car parks off Queens Wharf directly opposite the arena. Are they still there?

Maybe some businesses around the area 'let out' their car parks for a fee when a gig is on, perhaps charging about £5-£6 for the duration of the concert?

    Cheers.

You could try parking on Duke Street which is not too far from the Kings Dock. And it's free after 1800hrs.

    Good luck.

parking near the echo arena??...a few ideas

if its a sold out concert your'e best to keep your car away from the arena as iv'e heard it can take over a hour to get your car out of the multistory car parks!

when the bonfire night firework displays were on in the docks a few years ago (when it wasnt raining) a lot of people used to park down by sefton street and walk 5 mins to the dock area.I think there is a lot of space along that road if your'e earlybut they may have put yellow lines there by now.theres a layby by the gulf now esso petrol station on sefton street.

there is duke street pay and displays (double check the times of operation) traffic wardens work of a night in liverpool, its also usually 2 hours max stay in pay and displays.dont park in a taxi rank as the policeman on his horse will give you a ticket, hes always out of a night.

there are some pay n displays by the liver building on the strand.

you could park by macdonalds on blundell street accross the main road from the areana, next to blundell street resaturants -people park there in the weekday when going to work in city centre.
