I worked in Tate and Lyle's in the mid 70s and often went boozing round the Scottie Road area with the blokes I worked with, most of them lived around the refinery. One pub they often mentioned was Effin' Nelly's, which was round the Limekiln Lane area I think and was so named because of a previous manageress. I can't remember if we ever went in there or not but can anyone remember where it was and what was it's real name. Still makes me laugh whenever I think of it.

It was called "The Tatlock", and it was off Sylvester Street, and on the corner of Hornby Walk and Titchfield Street I think!! My Mar `n` Dar used to go there I think!! I used to rob the Untied Molases factory next door for the treacle when I was a kid!!!
