The shop i think you mean up the wooden stair to the station was called Pedeltons.or pendos we called it.they also made ice cream.
Sorry i'm a bit slow in replying.it was a cake shop in prescot road called Cook & Sons.
Spike.within the last 10 years or so.I dont live in the pool now so out of touch.he was a cook so his stuff would have been done on the premoses.Thanks
